about
Tom Kristensen who had the coolest band in Sydney during the 90’s, coolest by a country mile - LOVE ME - wrote: "Beautiful song Geoffryy. Made me think of ISIS and then the Kelly gang - heading north on stolen black horses. Forgotten but not gone - good line. Also tune does sound very close to something by Robert Forster, which should earn you brownie points. Backing vocals sublime, your vocal strong, but yet vulnerable - which is good. Guitar lines perfect. What's not to like?”
lyrics
Poor time, riding down
stolen nights on stealth black horses
Road north runs right
runs right by her heart
It’s not what I think
that you should be believing
Old man, drunk fool
he was once king like they say
After the silk and gold
after the silk and gold are stripped away
Gets it so right and so wrong
Charlie sing that old song
Forgotten, forgotten, forgotten
but not gone
God says, take no
living prisoners
So hard times are over
if they find us
It’s not my hope
that you should be breathing
Things pass, future tense
back to the beginning
Poor time, riding down stolen nights
on stealth black horses
